We received 7-9 repair requests per month for these machines in Luxembourg; here is our experience:

Average repair cost 350 euros, often over 600 euros
The reason for these high costs is that all these machines are modular, meaning they can only be ordered and replaced as complete units. The most common faults are the grinding module (176 euros for a spare part) and the main brewing module (225 euros for a spare part), all excluding shipping and labor.
Warranty issues
The housing and hose connectors are clipped together, meaning they are fixed with very delicate (cheap) plastic clips. These break very easily on machines over five years old; some break completely because the plastic is brittle. As a result, either the housing no longer closes properly, or expensive adjacent modules have to be purchased simply because a plastic clip has broken.
Result
The repair is not economically viable compared to the warranty we can offer.

Our solution:

Therefore, in June 2026 we decided to only replace simple faulty parts (seals etc.) on these machines and to launch an exchange program for everything else under our house brand BaristaLab.
This enables us to replace spare parts or exchange entire machines, allowing us to repair and provide warranties within just a few days. We even offer repair price guarantees for BaristaLab machines after the warranty has expired.

In terms of price, we are at the average repair price for machines of the same performance, and in return we can offer a new machine with a 2-year warranty.

We therefore believe this is a win-win for customers and us, and the right way forward.
Feel free to come by and we can discuss an exchange; we're sure to find a solution that's better than an expensive repair with an uncertain outcome.
Whether they take their existing machine back home or have us dispose of it is entirely up to them.
So we're not looking for cheap used machines with this program ;-)
